Paddys Whiskey Oak (a.k.a. Joker) - Sold
Joker began his reined cowhorse training with Tim Unzicker in December 2002. After 4 months we brought him home to the ranch for a short vacation. One day, shortly after a rain storm, he apparently had an accident while playing with one of his buddies in the pasture. We believe he probably fell hard and perhaps hit the fence. He could hardly stand and move around.
We treated him and he has slowly recovered; however he is still not 100% sound. He has not been ridden since and it is not likely he will be able to resume training.
Tim believes that Joker would have been a strong reined cowhorse performer, equal to his full brother Paddys Irish Oak ("Tully"). Tully was shown last summer as a 3 year old and won over $4000 in his first two shows before succumbing to a double twist colic episode.
Joker is a 'good looking dude' with an outstanding pedigree. He is easy to work with and would make a great stud horse for someone looking for his bloodlines.
